We can show you great ways to capitalize on the unfinished spaces in your house, such as basements and attics. For existing spaces, we can increase your views, improve the flow from room to room and make it seem like a whole new place!
From windows and walls to doors and floors, we will guide you through the process every step of the way. We promise you will be pleased.
KITCHEN: Bright, Spacious and VERY Cost-Effective
It began with a nice big window to replace three smaller units that had seen better days. This homeowner let the sun shine in, and kept right on going: 18" porcelain tiles, wainscotting, a new island and stone countertops are just a few of the joys. A second oven, oversized sink and plenty of storage and prep space make this a great space for family and friends!
In keeping with the adage "Waste Not, Want Not," we removed the existing Cherry Cabinets, refinshed them and reinstalled them in new locations. We modified several cabinets to fit task-specific needs, and even created several new pieces to match.
BONUS SPACE: Let The Sun Shine In!
Sometimes the most interesting spaces already exist within your home... they just need a little "help" to reach their potential!
This was the unfinished space above a country kitchen. It is now a cozy room perfect for sitting and unwinding, viewing the gardens below, and basking in the sunlight. South-facing skylights and hardwood flooring set the stage for warmth and tranquility.
LAUNDRY: Less of a Chore When the Space is Not a Bore.
Well-intentioned 1970's era blueprints divided this area into multiple spaces with little natural light. Today, the Laundry Room is spacious and bright, while the appliances remain silent and out of sight.
Porcelain tile flooring and washable semigloss walls make this attractive area easy to maintain. Designed to perform as a "keeping room" for the family dogs at night, this room also features fully caulked and sealed baseboards for the ineveitable late night water bowl mishaps.
BASEMENT: From Bleak to Beautiful
The "Boogeyman" has definitely left this basement! Once a dark, uninviting space, this basement is now fully-utilized and much appreciated by the entire family.
There's a workout room to help keep everyone in shape. An entertainment area. Activity areas. Space for curling up with a book. And even some much-needed storage for extra household products.
ARCHITECTURAL WOODWORK: The Finishing Touches
Goodbye shag carpet and wrought iron railing. And Hello! to the beautiful wood hidden underneath and a new oak railing. We love to take on challenges, and this one was a classic. These uniquely-sloped stairs required each component of the railing system to be hand-tuned for the proper fit.
